Full Fellowships Awards - Vermont Studio Center

VSC awards a number of Full Fellowships for 4-week residencies throughout the year. Open to all artists and writers, the Full Fellowship application deadlines are February 15th, June 15th, and October 1st. In addition to VSC Full Fellowships, a variety of special fellowships are also available for full or partial funding.

Aufenthaltsstipendien für Projekte zwischen Kunst, Wissenschaft
und Wirtschaft in der Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen (NRW)

Im vergangenen Jahr wurden sie mit großem Erfolg zum ersten Mal
angeboten: Stipendien für Projekte an der Schnittstelle von Kunst,
Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft in der Stiftung Künstlerdorf
Schöppingen. Bis zum 15. Juni 2009 kann man sich jetzt wieder bei
der nordrhein-westfälischen Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen um
einen Stipendienaufenthalt für diese neuen Modellstipendien
bewerben. Als dreijähriges Modellprojekt eingerichtet werden konnten
die "KWW-Stipendien - Kunst, Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft" durch eine
Förderung des Ministerpräsidenten des Landes NRW.

Summer Residency 2009: BERLIN

TRANSART INSTITUTE seeks independent, inquisitive and imaginative artist for its MFA program. In a uniquely international setting, Transart Institute offers an accredited two year low-residency course for working artists, teachers and all professionals in related fields who are seeking advancement in visual arts and new media. The program consists of three intensive summer residencies in Europe filled with lectures, workshops, critiques, seminars, performances and exhibitions and two shorter, optional winter residencies in New York. In the four semesters between residencies, students create an individual course of study realizing art and research projects with the support of faculty and self-chosen artist mentors wherever they work and live.

Artists Residencies Enschede

The City of Enschede has two guest studios for visual artists in search of inspiration & concentration. Both studios provide excellent living & working accommodation for a period of three months. The studios are located near the city centre & Roombeek, where there is a strong cultural infrastructure.

Artist in Residence, Sandnes

Sandnes Town Council and Rogaland County Council, offer a residency to professional artists. The artist can be from abroad, a Norwegian national or a regional artist wanting an alternative project space. The offer consists of a 1-3 months residency in Sandnes, in a rent-free studio with accommodation.

Artists will also receive a grant of 1,000 Euro per month.

A Residency Project Urban Interventions: Artistic Perspectives (UIAP)

Summary: UIAP is a one-off project to be realized in 2009 for enabling visual artists from Turkey to attend a residency program in Linz, Austria, from July to September, 2009, and again from October to December, 2009. The program will be reciprocated in 2010 in Istanbul.

Goal: The project “Urban Interventions” aims at inviting artists from Europe to explore various urban landscapes in different cities. It creates, within the framework of artist residency programs and activities, a platform for interaction and exchange both on a local level, as well as within a broader, inter-regional spectrum.

Dates: 1 artist July-Sept 2009 ; 1 artist Oct-Dec 2009

Selection Criteria: Artists who have a demonstrable interest in public spaces, urban initiatives and interventions, as well as mobilization of artistic practices and exchanges.

Headlands Center for the Arts' Artist in Residence Program

The Artist in Residence program provides a supportive working environment that allows time for artists to experiment, reflect and grow, both individually and collectively during their stay.

The program offers fully sponsored, live-in and live-out residencies to 40–50 artists each year from March to November and is distinguished in that there is no fee to participate.Artists in Residence are provided with a studio, shared housing and five meals a week for live-in artists. A studio and dinner twice weekly are provided for live-out artists. Stipends of up to $500/month are available pending funding and sponsorships secured each year.

Residencies range from one to six months, with an average stay of three months.

The HMC invites interested visual artists, writers and musicians to submit application for its residency program in Hungary. Its principal focus is an international residency program to which artists from around the world are invited. The goal is to provide a supportive community with uninterrupted time to work. The residencies offer participants a unique opportunity to interact with other artists representing a variety of cultures and backgrounds.

While HMC does not provide funding for residencies, we are helping to facilitate the creation of program and the cost of the exhibitions. We encourage the applicants to apply for a grant or scholarship.

INSTALLATION ARTIST RESIDENCY PROJECT: Kutztown University of Pennsylvania

The Sharadin Art Gallery at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania
requests proposals from artists, craftspersons, and designers for the
production of an original, temporary, site-specific installation for
our exhibition space.

The artwork will remain on view from January 29 – March 5, 2010. The
selected artist (or artist team) will be awarded $10,000.

-frequency: One time (we hope to make it an annual project if
additional funding can be located)

-Discipline: Open to artists in all media, designers, and
craftspeople. Proposed artwork can be realized in any medium and
there are no restrictions on form or content. However, proposals that
demonstrate innovation and deep, nuanced understanding of

Polymath Breakthrough Residency

Visual Arts residency will combine a group of artists with professionals from disciplines outside the arts to work toward big ideas.
The program fee is $2,963 and it includes shared accommodation and meal plan at The Banff Centre for the duration of the program. GST will be applied to the program fee, where applicable. Single rooms are subject to availability and payment of an additional $703.
In addition to the program fee, participants are responsible for all costs associated with their stay such as shipping costs, materials and supplies, the rental and use of audio/visual equipment, photographic materials, all printing costs, and any specific facilities fees.
Scholarship and financial aid to cover up to 54 per cent of the program fee (based on shared accommodation) is available. Applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid must indicate their request on the application form and must submit a Statement of Financial Need.

Für jeweils 3 Monate vergibt die Stadt Esslingen jährlich zweimal das Stipendium Esslinger Bahnwärter für Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus den Bereichen Literatur oder Bildender Kunst. Eine Wohnung in der Galerie Bahnwärterhaus und ein Atelierraum werden unentgeltlich zur Verfügung gestellt, der Unterhaltszuschuss beträgt €1000 im Monat. Bewerbungsunterlagen sollen ein Exposé für das Werk enthalten, das während des Stipendiums erarbeitet werden soll sowie Lebenslauf und Arbeitsbeispiele.
