Artists' Fellowships are $7,000 cash awards made to individual originating artists living and working in the state of New York for unrestricted use. Grants are awarded in 15 artistic disciplines, with applications accepted in five categories each year.

ArtsLink Residencies 2011

ArtsLink will accept Residencies applications from contemporary artists working in dance, music, theater or literature and from arts managers and presenters at independent, non-profit and government organizations working in these artistic disciplines. The five-week residencies will take place in fall 2011.

Artists are notified in March of the panel's decision. Primary criteria are quality, originality, and potential for growth. Non-New York artists pay a nominal fee toward housing. Free housing and $100 transportation stipend are available for New York State artists.

Call For Proposals: Artist residency Program at Annmarie Sculpture Park

Annmarie’s residency program provides a serene place on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay for visual, musical, and literary artists to create works that address ecological issues and/or inspire community involvement. Artists have access to a private studio space in addition to a variety of classroom studios and garage spaces, a waterfront, and fifty acres of forest and field. Residencies are meant to focus on merging the arts and the environment and should include the involvement of our local community to some capacity.

Call for application for BCS 2011 Emerging Artists Program

The Bamboo Curtain Studio has been actively supporting creative talents for the past 15 years. Within our four reused spaces, we have been celebrating the arts and empowering the lives of over 200 local and 30 international artists, with much sharing across communities, collaborating regional and exchanging international.

Since 2009, Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) has launched an 'Emerging Artists Program, to serve the local and international cultural practitioners, by providing one-month free exhibition or residency space.

After the successful results in 2009 and 2010, we are very happy to announce the open call of 2011. We'll again provide 6 opportunities for, exhibition space, production residency, visiting residency, and/or curatorial research for 2011. We especially welcome applicants working in any of these three fields: cross discipline arts, ecology and environment, and community engagement projects.

IN PROCESS 2011, Winter Studio Program, Carriage House, Islip Art Museum, NY

This Studio Program takes place in the Carriage House at the Islip Art Museum. The galleries are transformed into working space during the winter months. 3 artists will be selected who wish to use the space as a studio from February though April, 2011 (3 months). Each artist will be given a large, private working area with 24-hour access to the building. The Museum wants to give artists an opportunity to work on demanding projects that would normally be difficult to do without the space offered by the Carriage House.

Visegrad Artist Residency Program in New York, 2011

Incepted in 2010 under the cooperation with Futura Prague and the Triangle Arts Association in Brooklyn the VARP in New York program facilitates artist residencies for visual artists from the Visegrad Group (V4) countries in New York City. Applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous work, their potential contribution to the residency stay in New York, as well as the potential benefit they can draw from the pro­gram. One artist per V4 country will be selected.

Visual artists who are citizens of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland or Slovakia can apply.
Each residency is intended for 3 months.
Czech and Hungarian citizens take up their residencies between March 1 and May 31.
Polish and Slovak citizens between September 1 and November 30.

Call for applicates - Artist residency: La cité des curiosités 2011

Created by the Foundation of the company Logirem and implemented by Sextant et Plus, a French non-profit organisation for the production and the development of contemporary art exhibitions and projects, this residency offers to a professional artist an interesting ground of human and artistic experiences.

The artist will be accompanied by the team of Sextant et Plus in his/her creation process and have a studio at his/her disposal that will be located at the core of the inner city area of La Bricarde (15th borough of Marseille). In fact, the area of La Bricarde offers a panorama on the city of Marseille and is composed of interesting elements that can influence the nature of the artistic proposal.

The residency is planned for 6 months and will take place from March 2011 to September 2011.
