For over twenty years the photographic work of London-based photographer Diego Ferrari has investigated how people relate with space physically, intellectually and emotionally. The photographic project he is showing from 19 to 26 November 2010 at okk/raum29 focuses on everyday actions of the body in space, and individual emotional responses. The show is curated by urban dialogues' artistic director.
A workshop will be held during the URBAN HABITAT show, involving portraits of young people at Soldiner Kiez and thus developing further the themes explored in the exhibition. Ferrari will capture and reflect the relationship between young adults ando space in a rapidly urbanising world. The results of this workshop will be inserted into the current exhibition.

The view out of or into the window is a photographic reflex. The earliest existing photograph is a view from the studio of Nicéphore Niépce. To this day, the interaction of the window frame and the image boundary is a concept that artists continually reformulate in the most diverse of ways. The view outwards is, therefore, often a view into the artist's inner self.
The exhibition presents young European photographic talents on the subject of the window. This may be a view out of the window, into the window or of the window, and is linked to the contradiction that sight is granted a freedom that remains denied to the body.

Zweiteilige Ausstellung mit Arbeiten von Olaf Kühnemann.
Im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht das Wechselspiel zwischen Außen und Innen, ein Dialog, der sich sowohl in den Malereien Kühnemanns als auch in der Präsentation Pavillon am Milchhof spiegelt. Ein sieben mal drei Meter großer Wald wirkt wie aus der Natur in den Ausstellungsraum versetzt. Die blattlosen Bäume scheinen je nach Tageszeit ihre Farben zu verändern: leuchtendes Gelb und Braun, blasses Grau und gedämpftes Rot, kräftiges Orange und zartes Violett. Im ersten Teil der Ausstellung Woods in House kombinierte Kühnemann den Wald mit großformatigen Interieurs. Im zweiten Teil Ermitage verschwinden die Innenräume und werden durch die Außenansicht auf ein winterliches Haus sowie eine Figurengruppe ersetzt. Die Verbindung von natürlich Gewachsenem, künstlich Geschaffenem und menschlicher Präsenz stellt Fragen nach der Einbettung und Verwurzelung des Individuums in seiner Umgebung.

Um szenische Momentaufnahmen des Alltagslebens kreist die fünfte Ausstellung der Reihe „Gattungen in der zeitgenössischen Kunst“.
