"In the exhibition 'Everything in its right place', Thomas Monses shows his new works, paintings and drawings that are based on photographs, he made during his stays in Japan.
In his recent work, he focusses, next to urban sceneries and landscapes, on interpersonal relations of people, mainly children in their daily life situations.
The works themselves come into being during an extensive process of copying, reproducing the so-called original image over and over again, analysing the border between authenticity and the fictional. Both, the process of generating and developing as such, and working out the final product are of great importance. This approach allows him to reflect on the situation, in which art production or manufactory is practised currently and on its possible values."

Die Galerie Chybulski aus Frankreich präsentiert: Michel Corbex, Jean-Michel Debilly, Christophe Martin, Nath MP, Uli Traunspurger.
Der Name Chybulski leitet sich von der Künstlergruppe Tschika Chybulski ab, die im Berlin der frühen 1990er Jahre mehrere Ausstellungen und Projekte initiierte. Einige Mitglieder der Künstlergruppe übersiedelten nach Frankreich und eröffneten unter dem Namen Chybulski eine Galerie in Ville-sur-Jarnioux in der Nähe von Lyon, die sich inzwischen erfolgreich etabliert hat. Über die Distanz hinweg blieben die Beziehungen zu Berlin lebendig, und so kam bereits vor 10 Jahren ein Austausch mit Milchhof-Künstlern zustande. Diese Verbindung wurde seither in vielen kleineren Kooperationen aufrecht erhalten und soll jetzt mit einem weiteren wechselseitigen Ausstellungsprogramm gepflegt und intensiviert werden. Den Anfang machen nun diese fünf Künstler in einer von Torsten Prothmann kuratierten Ausstellung im Pavillon am Milchhof.

Anybody can fly – even if it’s just in their dreams. This spring, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt is devoting a big exhibition to one of humankind’s greatest desires: the dream of flying. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through time and space – from the Montgolfière to the oldest and most valuable Shaman’s cloak in Europe, from model jet planes to prehistoric spearheads – and seeks answers to the question of whether human technology has fulfilled all of humanity’s ancient dreams.

"Zwillingsbilder. Röntgenfotografien von Skulpturen"
im Präparatesaal des Berliner Medizinhistorischen Museums der Charité zu sehen. Der Röntgenblick, hier zugleich diagnostisch, forensisch und ästhetisch, "verlebendigt" die Skulpturen und rückt sie in ein einzigartiges künstlerisch-medizinisches Spannungsfeld zu den Präparaten.
Die Sonderausstellung von Uta Kornmeier findet in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung Berlin statt. Als Teil der Serie von "Interventionen" in die Dauerausstellung des Museums ist sie bis 05. Juni 2011 zu sehen.
